Utilizing IPMI or iDRAC network access for Lights Out Management

Admins may connect a 1GbE cable to the IPMI (OneXafe 4312) or iDRAC (OneXafe 5210, 4412, 4417, 5410, 4512) port. Having IPMI/iDRAC network access will enable lights out management and enables network access to OneXafe, similar to connecting a keyboard and monitor to the rear of the OneXafe. Admins may configure network setting with the exconsole as well as power up OneXafe from a complete shutdown.

When logging into the exconsole, either through IPMI web page or monitor/ keyboard:

If this is the first time logging in, admins will be prompted to change the password.

Note: The IPMI or iDRAC IP address can easily be seen within OneSystem when viewing the OneXafe details page. The IP address is a hyperlink and will open a new browser tab for IPMI/iDRAC access.

The IPMI IP address is displayed when connecting monitor/keyboard to OneXafe and may be changed through IPMI web page. Simply enter the IPMI IP address in a web browser and log in with the following credentials.
