Manual Upgrade or Migration of Control Service

Arcserve Replication and High Availability (RHA) lets you upgrade Control Service (CS) from previous release. Arcserve RHA also lets you migrate CS from another server, when the Operating Software of the CS is not supported. You can manually import the scenarios into new CS.

Perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Administrative Tools, Services to see a list of services.
  2. Right-click on Arcserve RHA Control Service and click Stop for stopping the new CS.
  3. Copy all files from <CS-install-dir>\ws_scenarios\ on the old CS server and paste to <CS-install-dir>\ws_scenarios\ on the new CS server.
  4. Navigate to Administrative Tools, Services to see a list of services.
  5. Right-click on Arcserve RHA Control Service and click Start for starting the new CS.
  6. Navigate to the Overview Page and launch RHA Manager when CS has started.
  7. Navigate to Host, Properties, Replication, User Credential and set properties for both Master and Replica(s).
  8. Right-click on the User Credential property that shares multiple hosts and select Propagate Value to apply the user credential to all the required hosts.
  9. For more information, refer to the Installation Guide.
