Enhancements
- Includes Push Install capabilities that let users remotely install or upgrade the ShadowControl agent, the ShadowProtect SPX agent or ShadowProtect 5.x agent to endpoints.
- Adds centralized management of perpetual ShadowProtect licenses through the ShadowControl license pool.
- Adds integration with the MSP Portal to automatically generate and apply MSP licenses for use in ShadowProtect push install operations.
- Provides new CSV-based endpoint discovery. This lets users import a CSV list of unprotected endpoints (both physical and virtual) to install ShadowControl and ShadowProtect agents.
- Enhances the update process by leveraging the new push install infrastructure to perform endpoint updates, and shifts the scheduling of endpoint updates until after the appliance update completes. To take advantage of this feature in the 3.5.0 update, select a "Manual" endpoint update when scheduling the appliance update. Once the appliance updates, you can use the push install feature to organize and schedule endpoint updates as needed.
- Improves the appliance backup feature by adding a scheduling option. It also now includes the appliance database, custom encryption keys, and custom branding elements. The feature can now automatically copy this appliance backup file to a pre-defined Backup Store for safekeeping.
- Adds the ability to "lock" an endpoint's locally created backup job so it can be managed only from the ShadowControl console. The Lock icon is available from the Endpoint Details page.
- Improves encryption key support by adding the ability to generate a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) directly on the appliance.
- Extends the existing ITSM notifications to provide alerts a) only when an endpoint status changes, or b) when any status alert triggers.
- Adds an Update Needed filter to the Endpoint list to simplify endpoint upgrades after an appliance update.
- Improves the experimental Backups report by listing endpoints by Organization.
