Complete the Manual Activation

To complete the manual activation, follow these steps:

1. In the Completing Activation of your Arcserve ShadowProtect Product page click the link to download the activate.zip file.
2. Copy the activate.zip file into the same directory that contains the license.activate file.
3. Note: This file is specific to this system and its license.activate file. It cannot be used to activate any other ShadowProtect SPX install.
3. Extract the license.import file from the activate.zip file.
4. Move the license.import file into the directory where ShadowProtect SPX is intalled (if it isn't already there).
5. Restart the services:
6. For Windows:
• Restart the Arcserve SPX service.
7. For Linux, open a terminal and type:
• stop spx <enter>
• start spx <enter>
6. Start ShadowProtect.
7. Confirm that the word Active appears in the License field in the navigation panel.

You have successfully (manually) licensed ShadowProtect SPX.
