Arcserve UDP Agent (Windows) System Requirements
The minimum system requirements are:
- CPU
- Arcserve UDP Console: 1 GHz or higher processor recommended
- Arcserve UDP RPS Server: 2 cores 1.6 GHz or faster processor recommended
- Arcserve UDP Agent (Windows): 1 GHz or faster processor recommended
- For Assured Security: 4 cores 2.2 GHz or faster processor recommended
- RAM
- Arcserve UDP Console: 8 GB or more recommended
- Arcserve UDP RPS Server: 8 GB or more recommended
- Arcserve UDP Agent (Windows): 4 GB or more recommended
- The default Java Heap values for 32 bit Agent and 64 bit Agent are 1 GB and 2 GB respectively.
- Note: As an exception on systems with less than 4 GB, JvmMx can be reduced if the Agent is used nominally.
- Arcserve UDP Virtual Standby Monitor: 4 GB or more recommended
- Arcserve UDP Virtual Standby Cloud Proxy: 4 GB or more recommended
- For Assured Security: 8 GB or more recommended
- Disk Space Requirements
- Installation of Arcserve_Unified_Data_Protection_Agent.exe
- 2 GB (minimum)
- 4 GB or more (recommended)
- Note: After the UDP agent is successfully installed, make sure that the volume where it is installed always has at least 1024 MB of free space for the agent to function properly and accept requests.
- 3 GB temporary folder for Setup
- 1 GB system drive for shared components
- Installation of Arcserve_Unified_Data_Protection.exe
13 GB (minimum)
15 GB or more (recommended)

- Host-based VM Backup
- Arcserve UDP backup proxy for Agentless backup: 4 logical processor or more, 8 GB RAM or more recommended.
- To run functions such as Preflight Check, pre/post commands, or application log purge, use one of the following credentials for the guest virtual machine:
- Built-in administrator user credentials.
- Built-in domain administrator user credentials.
- For other administrator credentials, disable the User Account Control (UAC) on the guest virtual machine.
- Server
- For Assured Security: Windows Server 2012 or higher
Other Hardware
- CD/DVD ROM Drive (necessary when installed from a CD/DVD)
- XGA (1024 x 768) or higher-resolution video adapter and monitor
