Migrate Recovery Points from a Data Store to another Data Store on the same Recovery Point Server

This section provides information about how to migrate recovery points from a data store to another data store on the same Recovery Point Server.

Note: The RPS jumpstart supports migrating a read-only data store to a writable data store or normal data store, but vice-versa is not supported.

Follow these steps:

Log into Arcserve UDP Console, and click the resources tab.
From the left pane, navigate to Destinations, and click Recovery Point Servers.
The Destinations: Recovery Point Servers page is displayed in the center pane.
Right-click the required Recovery Point Server and select RPS Jumpstart.
On the RPS Jumpstart screen, under 1. Select RPS Jumpstart Source, do the following:

From the Migrate Recovery Points drop-down list, select From a data store to another data store on the same Recovery Point Server.
The Source Recovery Point Server gets automatically generated.
From the Source Data Store drop-down list, select the source data store as needed.
From the Filter drop-down list, select the plan as needed. By default, All Plans is selected.
A list of source nodes is displayed in a table.
From the table, select the check boxes for the nodes you want to migrate, and then click Next.

On the RPS Jumpstart screen, under RPS Jumpstart - 2. Select RPS Jumpstart Target, do the following:

The Target Data Store drop-down contains only a list of running data stores.
Recovery Point Server does not support migrating data from an encrypted data store to a non-encrypted data store, or from a deduplication data store to a non-deduplication data store.

On the RPS Jumpstart screen, under RPS Jumpstart - 3. Confirmation, do the following:

Review the information about RPS Jumpstart Source, RPS Jumpstart Target, and the Recovery Points to Migrate.
If you want to modify any information, click Previous. If all the information are correct, click Finish.
