New Features and Enhancements
The following new features and enhancements are available for Arcserve UDP 10.1:
New Features
- Support for Arcserve Cloud Storage: UDP can now back up and replicate data to Arcserve-supported cloud storage. For more information, see Add a Cloud Account for Arcserve Cloud Storage.
- Arcserve Cloud Cyber Resilient Data Store: Allows you to take immutable snapshots of an entire data store for enhanced protection against ransomware and other threats. UDP 10.1 supports this capability alongside Arcserve Cloud Cyber Resilient Storage. For more information, see Add Arcserve Cloud Cyber Resilient Data Store.
Enhancements
- Assured Security Scan: The Assured Security Scan feature has been enhanced to provide clear status updates when malware is detected within a recovery point.
- Distinct Status Icon: Sessions associated with malware-infected recovery points display a unique status icon that distinguishes them from normal failures.
- Warning Pop-up: When you attempt to recover data from the malware infected sessions, a warning pop-up appears and prevents you from unknowingly restoring data and spreading the malware.
- Import or Mount an Existing Data Store as a Read-Only Data Store from Write-Protected: Allows you to import or mount an existing data store on an immutable local storage as a read-only data store for recovery purposes. The backup, merge, and purge jobs are not supported. For more information, see Import a Data Store.
- Note: Importing a data store as read-only is supported only when the data store is configured with folders on local machine.
