New Features
Here is a list of the new features available in Arcserve UDP 8.0.
- Backup to and Restore from Hidden Volume: Allowed to backup and restore data from hidden volumes. Hidden volume is a volume that is mounted without a drive letter or a folder path in the OS. Hidden volumes can be accessed using corresponding volume GUID.
- Export and Import Settings: Allowed export and import settings using the JSON file in Windows Agent.
- OneDrive Support: Allowed restore options to the original or alternate locations.
- SharePoint Online Support: The following features are available for SharePoint Online Support:
- Allowed to backup lists and libraries from personal sites.
- Allowed to add multiple site collections all at once.
- Allowed to add the newly added site collections automatically inside the plan.
- Oracle RMAN Support: Arcserve UDP now provides a way of protecting Oracle system using Recovery Manager (RMAN). RMAN is an Oracle utility that performs backup, restore and recovery tasks on databases and automates the administration of backup strategies. - Office 365 Group Support: Enabled group support for Office 365 users.
- Reverse Replication: Enabled replication of data (recovery point) from Cloud, MSP, or Remotely Managed RPS to local UDP or on-premises RPS server. For more information, see How to Perform Reverse Replication.
- Nutanix Files: Arcserve UDP now provides a way of protecting Nutanix Files using the Arcserve UDP UNC/NFS option. Nutanix Files is a software-defined, scale-out file storage solution that provides a repository for unstructured data, such as home directories, user profiles, departmental shares, application logs, backups, and archives. - Teams Support: Data backup and restore support is enabled for MS Teams, which is a business communication chat based platform. For more information, see Managing Microsoft Teams Backup and Restore.
- Immutable Storage support for Copy Recovery Point: Allowed to create immutable storage on Amazon S3 using the Object Lock feature.
- Adobe Flash Replacement: Adobe Flash is no longer required and installing .NET Framework allows you to view charts.
