Mount the Volume without Drive Letter in NTFS Folder

You must mount the volume without drive letter in NTFS folder to back up the volume and contents of the mount point.

Follow these steps:

  1. From Windows Disk Manager, select new disk that does not have a drive letter assigned.
  2. From the right click options, click Change Drive Letter and Paths.
  3. Add Drive Letter and Paths dialog opens.
  4. Click Change.
  5. Change Drive Letter or Path dailog opens.
  6. Select Mount in the following empty NTFS folder, specify the following path and click OK.
  7. C:\MountPoint
  8. Mount Point appears in Windows Explorer. You have successfully mounted the volume without drive letter
