Open Instant Virtual Machine Wizard

You can create an Instant VM from Arcserve UDP Console using the Instant VM Wizard. The topic describes how to open Create an Instant VM wizard from Arcserve UDP Console.

Follow these steps:

  1. Log into Arcserve UDP Console.
  2. Click the resources tab on the Console.
  3. From the left pane, navigate to Nodes, and click All Nodes.
  4. If you have added nodes earlier, those nodes are displayed on the center pane.
  5. Right-click a node that is already associated with a plan.

    6. Note: If a node is not associated with any plan, the option of Create an Instant VM does not appear.

  6. From the list of options displayed for action, click Create an Instant VM.
  7. The Instant VM wizard or Create an Instant VM wizard opens. From the wizard, the first step is to select a recovery point.
