Review the Prerequisites and Considerations

Verify that you have completed the following prerequisite tasks:

1. Log into the Console.
2. Prepare a UNC/NFS path backup proxy server where you have installed Arcserve Unified Data Protection Agent for Windows.
3. Have User credential with at least Read permission for the UNC/NFS path that you plan to protect.
4. Note: To add, update, and delete a UNC/NFS Path node, see How to Add and Manage UNC/NFS Path.
4. Have a recovery point server with non-dedupe datastore or dedupe datastore.
5. Create datastore to store the backup data.
6. Create a file share on Nutanix Prism Web Portal.

Consideration:

• Extra license consumption for UNC paths. To resolve, view troubleshooting.
• Backup proxy is always a Windows machine.
• For the Nutanix NFS plan to work, NfsUtils needs to be pre-installed on the backup proxy machine (as is the case for the built-in NFS plan).
• For Nutanix File Server, if any of the FSVMs from the cluster fails, the other FSVM takes the primary ownership of File Server, and HA gets enabled for the FSVM cluster.
