Copy Recovery Point (CRP) Related
- Upload to/Download from cloud fails.
- Symptom:
- If a CRP upload or download fails, the following error message appears in the Amazon log:
- S3MultipartReadClient.ReadObjectContent - Failed to read object java.net.SocketTimeoutException
- Solution:
- Follow these steps:
- Navigate to C:\Program Files\Arcserve\Unified Data Protection\Engine\BIN\CCI\Config.
- Open the AmazonPlugin.properties file.
- Set the properties as specified below:
- #Socket timeout in milliseconds
- SOCKET_TIMEOUT=900000
- Restart the service.
- Recovery Point download from Amazon S3 fails.
- Symptom:
- When you try to download the recovery point from cloud, download may fail and the following error message appears in the CRP-RESTORE log:
- Corrupted data file, padding size:72, GetEncBlockSize:16
- Decryption failed. Ret[4026531857], SrcSize[38209]
- Solution:
- Use Cloudberry and download the same recovery point to local disk or network disk. For restoring some internal files, you can use the UDP Agent Mount Recovery Point option.
- The Backup Now option for standalone agent may not work for CRP.
- Symptom
- In CRP, the Backup Now option does not work for standalone agent after upgrade.
- Solution
- The CRP job may fail if the username of UDP Administrator Account contains special French characters.

As a workaround, define and run a custom backup for the standalone agent.
Using special French characters in the user name for Arcserve UDP Administrator account on French version of Windows Operating system may lead to CRP job failure. The CRP job fails if the backup is performed using session password to encrypt the recovery points and a Copy Recovery Points task is added to copy the recovery point.
As a workaround, use a different user account that does not contain special French characters.
