SharePoint Online Protection Related
- When restoring the SharePoint Online items, the associated SharePoint permissions or IRM policy settings are not preserved.
- As Microsoft currently does not support internal property or name for location type of a list, the column settings for the SharePoint list with location type are not restored even though restoring of SharePoint list with location type is successful.
- The Document Library restore fails if Column Validation setting is enabled.
- Fails to restore the Style Library option to original location available in the system Document Library. However, you can use the Restore to original location with new name.
- If for a file the length of relative URL excluding the root site URL exceeds 400 characters, then the restore fails for the options Restore to original and Restore to original site with new name. However, you can use the Export to disk restore option.
- If the length of file/directory name exceeds 256 characters, the backup fails for the specific file.
- Activity log fails to display the Job Crashed message and the job history is not updated if a job is canceled and then terminated. However, the issue does not impact the next backup job that removes the previous recovery point first and then performs the data backup.
- If the name of an item is modified on the SharePoint portal, then to protect the item, open the plan containing that item from the Arcserve UDP Console and save the plan.
- Even after canceling a running backup job, the backup job does not stop immediately and continues to run for some time. However, the next incremental backup job continues backing up all the items that are not backed up in the canceled job.
- After restore, the ID of the displayed List Item is different from the original one if you set the Order By as ID in Document Library and Custom List view. This issue occurs when the item is modified before performing the last incremental backup job.
- When using the export to disk option, the directory name of Document Library and Custom List is the URL Name, not the Title Name. To get the URL name, access the Address Bar of Web Browser when opening the Document Library and Custom List.
- When using the export to disk option, the job fails if the file name exceeds 256 characters.
- Custom List fails to restore the following advanced settings:
- Allow automatic management of indices
- Launch forms in a dialog
- Allow items in this list to be edited using Quick Edit and the Details Pane
- Allow items from this list to be downloaded to offline clients
- Document Library fails to restore the following advanced settings:
- Default open behavior for browser-enabled documents
- Destination name (For example, Team Library and URL)
- Allow items from this document library to be downloaded to offline clients
- Should this document library be a site assets library
- Allow items in this document library to be edited using Quick Edit and the Details pane
- Allow automatic management of indices
- Allow items from this document library to appear in search results
- Launch forms in a dialog
- Performing Overwrite option enabled restore fails to restore the modified time of the One Note file.
- Restoring the View fails to restore the following settings:
- Sort By
- Allow individual item checkboxes
- Folders or Flat
- View Style
- Restore of Workflow Settings fail.
- Custom List fails to restore Form Settings.
- If you create a new View, set it as Default View and then perform restore of Document Library or Custom List, the original default View named AllItems displays incorrect Columns settings and the columns added are not selected.
- Column order of View is displayed incorrectly after restore.
- Document Library fails to restore Enterprise Metadata and Keywords Settings.
- Document Library and Custom List do not restore Rating Setting and RSS Settings.
- Document Library and Custom List does not restore Modified By and Approve Status columns.
- The data related to Managed Metadata column is not restored.
- Document Library and Custom List does not restore External Data column.
- Restore fails for Used in column property.
- Restoring the Document Title version history fails.
- The default value of a column is restored only if the original item is empty and was created before setting up the default value.
- The Online OneNote file is displayed as a folder on the Restore Browse UI. After restore, the OneNote file is displayed correctly.
- After restoring the OneNote file, the last modified time doesn't get restored and is overwritten by the restore time.
- The version number is modified if Overwrite option is selected for restore. Consider the following scenarios:
- If the original version number is 1.0, 2.0 and 4.0. After restore, the version number is displayed as 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0.
- If the original version number is 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0, then you need to modify the version settings to enable major version only that displays 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 after restore.
- Note: 1.1 version is restored as 2.0 and 2.0 version is restored as 3.0.
- If the minor version is enabled after restore, then the first version is always 0.1. If the minor version is disabled after restore, then the first version is always 1.0.
- The backup and restore versions are not supported for List Item in the Custom List.
- In Custom List, the Export to disk restore option does not restore the List Item that includes version and has no attachments.
- If the file size is greater than or equal to 2 GB and has more than one version assigned, then the backup or restore fails for the specific file.
