Solution

As a workaround, create and use the app password in the application or device you are trying to setup.

To create and use app passwords, follow these steps:

Note: Before you create an app password, you need to enable 2-Step Verification on your Google Account.

  1. Sign into your Google Account.
  2. In the left pane, select Security.
  3. On the Security page, Under How you sign in to Google, select 2-Step Verification.
  4. On the 2-Step Verification page, scroll down to the bottom of the page or search for App passwords, and then click App passwords.
  5. On the App password page, to create a new app specific password, type the app name, and then click Create.
  6. The Generate app password dialog appears and displays the app password for your device.
  7. To use the generated app password, follow the instructions on the Generate app password dialog.
  8. Note: The app password is the 16-character code that generates on your device.
  9. Click Done.
  10. The app password is created to sign into your Google account successfully.

Note: When you change your Google account password, the app passwords get revoked. To continue to use an app with your Google account, create a new app password.
