Configure Object Lock Settings for a Cloud Service
This section provides information about how to configure Object Lock Settings for a cloud service:
Follow these steps:
- Select the Enable Object Lock check box.
- The Object Lock Settings button is enabled.
- Click the Object Lock Settings button.
- The Object Lock Settings dialog appears.
- On the Object Lock Settings dialog, perform the following:
- Note: On the Object Lock Settings dialog, the options may vary based on the cloud service you have selected while creating a plan.
- Governance: If you have special IAM permissions during the retention period, you can overwrite or delete the protected object versions, or change the lock settings.
- Compliance: You cannot overwrite or delete protected object versions even if you are a root user in the AWS account.

- Note: When the Object Lock is enabled while creating a plan for Nutanix Objects, the following also gets enabled:
- Write-Once-Read-Many (WORM): You cannot overwrite or delete the existing objects for a specified time of retention period.
- Versioning: You can keep multiple versions of Nutanix Objects in one bucket.
- Click OK.

Default Retention Mode
Lets you enable different levels of protection on object versions. To enable, select one of the following:
