Configure Object Lock Settings for a Cloud Service

This section provides information about how to configure Object Lock Settings for a cloud service:

Follow these steps:

1. Select the Enable Object Lock check box.
2. The Object Lock Settings button is enabled.

Default Retention Mode

Lets you enable different levels of protection on object versions. To enable, select one of the following:

• Governance: If you have special IAM permissions during the retention period, you can overwrite or delete the protected object versions, or change the lock settings.
• Compliance: You cannot overwrite or delete protected object versions even if you are a root user in the AWS account.

Default Retention Period

Lets you specify fixed amount of time to protect object versions. You can provide retention period in days or years.

• Versioning: You can keep multiple versions of Nutanix Objects in one bucket.
