Key Files Related
- The Arcserve UDP product might become unusable after the accidental deletion of key files.
- Symptom
- With UDP 9.2, a new set of the public and private key files are created, and any accidental deletion of these files lead to job crashes. Hence, the product becomes unusable.
- Solution
- As a workaround, do the following:
- Compare the time stamp of key files located in the <UDP installation folder>\Vault and C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Crypto\Arcserve\UDP\Vault paths.
- If the time stamp of the key files does not match, stop all the UDP services and then copy the key files from the C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Crypto\Arcserve\UDP\Vault folder to the <UDP installation folder>\Vault folder.
- Start all the UDP services.
- Note: For more information about how to start the UDP services, see the KB article.
