Restore the Archived Redo Logs

Archived redo logs are used to recover a database or update a standby database. Before you restore, you must locate the file. When you locate the files, ensure that the database is in the Open state.

Follow these steps:

  1. Log into the computer where you want to restore the files.
  2. Locate the archived redo logs using the following command.
  3. SQL> ARCHIVE LOG LIST;

    SQL> SHOW PARAMETER DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST;

  1. Log into the Arcserve UDP Console.
  2. Restore the archived redo logs using the Restore Wizard. For more information on the restore process, see How to Restore From a Recovery Point.
  3. Log into the destination computer.
  4. Navigate to the specific folders and verify that the archived redo logs are restored.

The archived redo logs are restored.
