Windows Computer Stops Responding When Many Files Are Open During a Backup Job
Symptom
Your Windows computer stops responding when many files are open during a Arcserve Backup job.
Solution
When a computer running Windows has many files open that are frequently being written to and a backup job is requested, the agent may require a large amount of disk space to store the file preview data. By default, preview data is stored on the C:\ drive. Thus, if the disk usage gets to be too high, your system can stop responding.
