Before you install Arcserve Backup Enterprise Option for IBM 3494, you must configure communication between the Arcserve Backup server and the Enterprise Tape Library 3494 by editing the Enterprise Tape Library 3494 library configuration file. The name of the file is ibmatl.conf, and it is located in the c:\winnt directory.
Note: If the c:\winnt directory does not exist, it is created when you install the IBM Automated Tape Library service.
Use Notepad or any other text editor to edit the Enterprise Tape Library 3494 library configuration file before you install the Enterprise Option for IBM 3494.
