Library Request Flow for StorageTek ACSLS

StorageTek ACSLS processes the requests for library operations as follows:

• The Arcserve Backup server initiates requests for library operations.
• The StorageTek Library Attached software on the Arcserve Backup server transmits these requests to the ACSLS Manager on the StorageTek ACSLS server.
• The ACSLS Manager receives and interprets a library request, and performs the requested operation on the StorageTek ACSLS library.
• The ACSLS Manager also forms and returns a response to the Arcserve Backup server.

The StorageTek ACSLS library request flow is shown in the following illustration:
