Recommended Backup Procedures

We recommend following these backup procedures:

When a database is initially created, perform a full offline backup of the entire database using Arcserve Backup without the option. This provides copies of all data files, redo log files, and control files of your database.
Perform an online backup of your Oracle databases.
Extensively used tablespaces should be backed up frequently to reduce database recovery time.
