Start the Server Automatically

To start the Arcserve Backup Server automatically

  1. Highlight the Arcserve Backup server module you want to set up and click Startup.

    The Arcserve Backup engine's Service dialog appears (depending on the Arcserve Backup engine you selected).

  2. Select Automatic as the Startup Type, and click OK.

    Selecting Automatic means that, beginning with the next time you log in to the operating system on this machine, the Arcserve Backup engine is started automatically.

  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the other two Arcserve Backup server modules.

    Because you can only specify the startup method for engines one at a time, you must repeat these steps for each Arcserve Backup server module to make the Arcserve Backup Server fully functional.

  4. When done, click Close to save the startup information.
