Assign Roles to Users Using the User Profile Utility

The User Profile Utility lets you assign Arcserve Backup roles to Arcserve Backup users.

To assign roles to users using the User Profile Utility

1. Open the Arcserve Backup Manager Console.

   From the Quick Start Menu select Administration and click User Profile.

   The User Profile utility opens.

2. Select the user that you want to modify and click Properties on the toolbar.

   The User Properties dialog opens.

3. Click the Roles tab.

   Check the check box next to the Arcserve Backup roles that you want to assign to the user.

   Note: For more information, see Roles and Permissions.

   Click OK.

   The roles are applied to the user.
