Save Job Template
You can create custom job templates that you can save for future jobs on any Arcserve Backup machine. The Save Job Template dialog allows you to save your custom job template with an .ast filename extension.
To save job templates
- Open the Backup Manager by selecting Backup Manager from the Quick Start menu.
The Backup Manager window opens.
- Make selections for your backup job by accessing the Source, Staging, Destination, and Schedule tabs.
- Submit your job by clicking the Submit button.
The Security and Agent Information dialog opens.
- Edit or confirm the security and agent information for your job and click OK.
The Submit Job dialog opens.
- Click Save Template in the Submit Job dialog box to save your new job template with an .ast filename extension.
The Save Job Template dialog opens.
- Complete the following fields and click Save.
- Save In--Specify the path for the job template file. While default job templates are stored in the Templates/Jobs folder in the Arcserve Backup directory, you can save your template in any directory you want.
- File Name--Enter a name for the job template. By default, it will be saved with an .ast extension.
- Save as type--To save the job template in another format, select the file format you want.
- Job Information--Enter a brief description of the job.
The job template is saved.
