A non-transportable Microsoft Exchange Writer session can be restored in the same way as any other Writer session. For a description of the types of restore available in the Restore Manager, see Restore Methods.
For a non-transportable Microsoft Exchange Writer backup operation, because all of the data is in a single session, the whole Writer can be selected for restore if the whole Writer was selected during the backup operation.
When you use the Agent for Open Files and select the Microsoft Exchange Writer for backup, all of the data is written to a single session on the backup media. To restore the whole Microsoft Exchange Writer, select only that one session to restore all the data. If there is more than one storage group, all data for the storage groups is in one session.
