NAS Server Does Not Reinitialize
Valid on Windows
Symptom:
The NAS server does not reinitialize.
Solution:
You must manually reinitialize the NAS server.
To reinitialize the NAS server
- Stop all of the sessions on the Network Appliance NAS server by connecting to the server using Telnet and entering the following command:
ndmpd -killall
- Restart the NDMP NAS Option universal agent service.
- [Optional] Delete the device references under the following registry key:
Computer Associates\CA ARCserve\Base\Tape Engine
- If you are reconfiguring tape library units, run Device Configuration.
- Restart the Tape Engine using the Arcserve Backup Server Admin.
