Restore Databases Backed Up Offline

To restore an offline backup, shut down the Oracle server application, and restore the Oracle files using Arcserve Backup. You must select all of the files that make up the database; these files may be located on different physical drives or volumes.

Note: The backup you want to restore from must be a backup that was created with the Arcserve Backup Manager. You cannot use the Arcserve Backup interface to restore from a backup that was created with Recovery Manager.
