Using Arcserve Backup › Managing Jobs › Managing Jobs in the Job Queue › Monitor an Active Job
Monitor an Active Job
You can monitor the progress of an active job from the Job Queue in order to view the real-time status of active jobs in the Job Queue. Using the Central Management Option, you can monitor the job activity for all Arcserve Backup member servers in the domain from one central location.
To monitor an active job
- Open the Job Status Manager and select the Job Queue tab.
- Double-click the active job you want to monitor.
The Job Monitor dialog appears displaying three panes.
- Left pane--shows Source Nodes which the master job will process.
- Top right pane--displays all active child jobs which are currently transferring data. It also displays detail information such as the source files, job status, elapsed time, remaining time, number of files, MB per minute, and MB processed.
- Bottom right pane--contains a Statistics tab and a Log tab.
- Statistics tab--allows you to view current job attributes and the job complete percentage, including information on the last execution of the master job to approximate when the job will finish and the amount of data that will be backed up. By selecting the child job, you can view information specific to that subjob.
- Log tab--allows you to view messages from the message log. You can choose to display only errors, error and warnings, or all messages, which includes informational only messages.
- (Optional) Click Stop to stop the job and abort the backup process.
- (Optional) Click Refresh to refresh your screen and display the most recent backup data.
