Unable to Access the Agent Using the Console
Symptom
You are unable to access the Windows Engine on your server using the Backup <aof> Console on your workstation.
Solution
If you encounter this problem, you must:
- Check that the Windows Engine is properly installed and running on the server.
- Check if you can view the server from Windows Explorer on your workstation. If not, a problem may exist in your network hardware or software configuration.
- If a server is displayed in Windows Explorer but does not appear in the File Servers list on the console, check if you are scanning the network properly. Verify if you have at least Guest access to the server.
If the server appears in the File Servers list but you cannot configure the agent on it, you may not be logged in to the server with sufficient rights.
