Agent for Microsoft SharePoint Server Limitations
The Agent for Microsoft SharePoint Server cannot perform some of the document-level or granular restore operations for SharePoint Systems. The agent cannot restore:
- configuration or application data. So, any binaries developed for web applications or application pages will not be restored.
- customized site definitions, list definitions, content type definitions, filed definitions.
- alerts, audit trail, change log history, items in check-in/check-out state, recycle bin items, recycle bin state, security state, workflow tasks and workflow states.
- external blob store (EBS).
- list items such as Survey list to alternative location. You can restore only complete surveys.
- root web site.
- item versions such as team discussion and PKI list.
- documents created under the Administration site while performing DB level restore.
Other limitations:
Important! If you are restoring an object, list item or folder, list or web to an original location then you must ensure the object’s parent location exists.
