Each restore job requires a source and destination. The files you select as your source always come from media, and the place you select as your destination is always a hard drive.
Arcserve Backup provides you with four methods for selecting the data you want to restore (the source), Restore by Tree, Session, Query, Image, and Backup Media. Three of these methods use information logged in the Arcserve Backup database, while the fourth method doesn't. In addition, if you have separately purchased the Image Backup Option, you will also have Restore by Image available.
You also have several methods for selecting a Destination to restore the data to the machine.
