Restore a System Tablespace
Use the following procedure to restore system tablespace.
To restore a system tablespace
- Shut down the database.
- Open the Restore Manager to select Restore by Tree.
- On the Source tab, select the system tablespace you want to restore.
The Oracle database objects are automatically restored to their original locations. You do not need to select a destination.
- Click the Schedule tab for scheduling options.
- Click Submit.
The Session User Name and Password dialog opens.
- To enter or change the use name and password (including the session password) for the machine on which the Oracle server is running, select the session and click Edit.
- Enter the user name SYSTEM (for Oracle 9i,10g, 11g, and 12c), or a user with SYSDBA equivalent privileges and password for your Oracle server.
Click OK.
The job is submitted. You can monitor the job on the Job Status Manager.
