Database Engine
This engine is responsible for maintaining the history of several things:
- Files, directories, storage devices, and machines on which Arcserve Backup has performed a function.
- Information about jobs that have been processed by Arcserve Backup, such as the type, the final result, the start and end time.
- Backup media used by Arcserve Backup, such as its name, date it was first formatted, date it expires, and number of sessions.
- Machines on the network, such as the name, domain or workgroup they belong to.
The Database Engine captures the important details of every job.
