Merge Media

To merge media using the Merge utility:

  1. From the Arcserve Backup Home Page, start the Merge utility.
  2. Specify which media you want to merge.

    If the media you want to use is not currently in a storage device, you must type the information into the Group and Media fields. If you do not know the session number, you can check the Activity Log or Job Records or Media Records in the database. If they are not available, you can use the Media Assure & Scan utility to list the contents of the media, including all session numbers.

  3. Do one of the following:

    Note: The All Sessions option is enabled by default when the Merge utility starts.

  4. Specify any options, filters, or both for the job.
  5. Click the Start toolbar button to submit the job.
