Set Up Scheduling for Your Job

To specify a scheduling option, perform the following procedure:

  1. Open the appropriate window (Backup, Restore, Copy, or other job-configuring window).
  2. If you want a job to repeat (as opposed to only running once), go to the Schedule tab after you have selected the source (and, if appropriate, Destination). If this is to be a run-now or run-once job, proceed to step 5.
  3. If it is not already activated, select Custom Schedule.

    The Custom Schedule dialog appears.

  4. Select the Repeat method desired.
  5. Click Submit.
  6. Confirm Security information and click OK.
  7. To run the job immediately, select Run Now. To schedule the job, select Run On and select the scheduling information in the appropriate fields. If this job is scheduled to run once, it will execute at the specified date and time. If it is a repeating scheduled job (not a rotation job), the job will run at the specified time and date entered.
  8. Click OK.

    Arcserve Backup places the job in the job queue according to the mode specification.
