Assign a RAID Device to a RAID Group

To manually assign a RAID device to a RAID group, perform the following procedure:

1. Open the Device Manager.
2. Click Group on the toolbar.

   The Device Group Configuration screen opens.

3. To create a RAID group, click New.

   The New Group dialog appears.

4. Assign the media RAID device to the RAID group.
5. Click OK.

   The RAID device is now assigned to a RAID group.

   Note: From the Device Group Configuration screen, you cannot create or delete a group for the Tape Library RAID device. It is created automatically.

At the Device Group Configuration screen, one can distinguish the type of group by the following color scheme:
