Before installing Arcserve Backup Patch Manager, verify the following prerequisites:
Your local server can be used as a staging server. If Arcserve Backup Patch Manager is installed locally as a staging server, you must also have Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 or later installed on your local server.
For the staging server, the IIS must also have the Default IIS Site available and running.
For a client type installation, Arcserve Backup r12 SP2 or later components must be previously installed on the client.
