編寫器選項對話方塊

[編寫器選項] 對話方塊中有下列選項：

• Use Writer Options:Select this option to direct the VSS backup process to use the options provided by the selected Writer and to enable the other options available on this dialog.

  若未選取此選項，則會使用 [全域選項] 對話方塊上，[磁碟區陰影複製服務] 索引標籤中設定的選項。如需全域選項的說明，請參閱〈設定全域選項〉一節。

• Use Transportable snap-shot:Select this option to create a transportable VSS backup.選取此選項之後，唯一可用的備份方式為「完整備份」。

  只有將 Enterprise Option for VSS Hardware Snap-Shot 安裝為 Enterprise Module 的一部分之後，才能使用這個選項。

• Retain Shadow Copy After Backup:This option is enabled when you select Use Transportable snap-shot.選取此選項，可指定 Arcserve Backup 在備份後不要刪除陰影複製磁碟區。因為陰影複製磁碟區是可傳輸的，在備份後予以保留，便可將該磁碟區匯入到其他系統，供其他用途使用。
• Backup Method:Select one of the following methods to indicate the backup method to use for the backup of the selected Writer:
  • Use Method Selected for Job:Uses the backup method indicated in the Schedule tab of the Backup Manager.
  • Use Full Backup:Backs up all the files associated with the selected Writer, regardless of when the data last changed.選取 [使用可傳輸快照] 選項時，則只能使用此選項。
  • Use Incremental Backup:Backs up only those files that have changed since the last full or incremental backup was performed.在每次備份之後，會對備份檔案進行標示，這樣在下一個遞增備份工作期間才不會備份這些檔案，除非檔案有所變更。使用此方式處理備份工作所需的時間比較少。但是，若要從遞增備份中還原檔案，您必須提供最新的完整備份以及所有後續的遞增備份工作。
  • Use Differential Backup:Backs up only those files that have changed since the last full backup was performed.因為差異備份工作不會將檔案標示成已備份，所以會再備份上次差異工作中所備份的檔案。使用此方式需要較長的時間處理備份工作。但是，若要從差異備份中還原檔案，您必須提供最新的完整備份以及最新的差異備份。
  • Use Log Backup:Backs up only the log files associated with the selected Writer.
  • Use Copy Backup:Backs up all the files included by the Writer, but does not mark the files as having been backed up.選取此選項，在不中斷任何現有的遞增或差異備份的情形下，進行資料的完整備份。

  附註︰ 並非所有的編寫器均支援全部的備份類型。根據選取的 [備份方式]，Arcserve Backup 的行為將有所不同。例如，如果在工作層級選取 [遞增] 或 [差異]，且 VSS 的 [全域選項] 對話方塊在編寫器層級設定 [使用為完整備份] 選項，將執行完整備份。但是，如果 VSS 的 [全域選項] 對話方塊在編寫器層級設定了 [使用日誌備份] 選項，而編寫器不支援日誌備份，將導致備份失敗。

• Files Included in this Writer Will be Excluded from Any File System Backups:這個選項可避免傳統檔案系統備份對編寫器元件的檔案進行備份。此選項有下列優點：
  • 避免備份已由 VSS 備份的檔案。
  • 藉由排除傳統備份檔案的方式，可確保只需處理少量檔案，便能快速完成傳統備份。
  • 在以群組關係來處理的檔案中 (例如，資料庫應用程式相關檔案)，排除與檔案相關的問題，藉以成功完成封存。在傳統備份中，沒有機制可以確保系統會一起處理檔案。

  如果選取 [使用可傳輸快照] 選項，將無法使用本選項。

• Files that are Specifically Excluded by this Writer Will be Excluded from Any File System Backups:Select this option to exclude files associated with an application that should never be backed up (the Windows page file, for example) from any file system backups.每個「編寫器」都會注意到其相關的應用程式是否含有任何這類檔案。此選項可讓 Arcserve Backup 在執行傳統備份時使用此資訊。

  如果選取 [使用可傳輸快照] 選項，將無法使用本選項。

• If One or More Files of a Component of this Writer Fail to Backup Successfully, the Entire Writer Backup Will be Terminated:Select this option to cancel the backup of the selected Writer if the backup of any of its Components fails.若無法成功備份元件中的一或多個檔案，就無法成功備份元件。

  選取此選項，不論與編寫器相關的元件為何，皆可確保在備份視為成功前，備份所有與編寫器相關的檔案。

  如果選取 [使用可傳輸快照] 選項，將無法使用本選項。
