Assign the Arcserve UDP RPS Servers to the Arcserve UDP Recovery Point Servers Object

From the Backup Manager, you can add Arcserve UDP RPS servers to the Arcserve UDP Recovery Point Servers object in the Backup Manager source tree while backups run on a data store.

You can add Arcserve UDP RPS servers to the Arcserve UDP Recovery Point Servers object when using the backup data to restore the D2D data at the file level, folder level, and application level granularity.

Folge diesen Schritten:

1. Open the Arcserve Backup Manager Console.

   From the Quick Start menu, click Backup to open the Backup Manager.

2. Click the Source tab

   The source tree appears.

3. Right-click the Arcserve UDP Recovery Point Servers object and click Add RPS Server from the pop-up menu.

   The Add RPS Server dialog opens.

4. Complete the following fields:
   • Host name
   • IP address (optional)

     Note: Uncheck the Use computer name resolution option before specifying an IP address.

   • User name
   • Password
5. Click OK.

   The Arcserve UDP RPS server is assigned to the Arcserve UDP Recovery Point Servers object.

   Note: Arcserve Backup does not let you browse the drives and directories within Arcserve UDP Recovery Point servers after the Arcserve UDP RPS servers have been added.
