How to Complete Prerequisite Tasks

Before installing the option, complete the following tasks:

Verify that your system meets the minimum hardware and software requirements needed to the option. For a list of requirements, see the Readme file.
Verify that the Arcserve Backup server component is installed in your system.
Verify that you have super user privileges.
Verify that the SAP R/3 server component is installed on the computer where you will install the option.
(Optional) If you want to back up and restore to data mover servers, verify that Arcserve Backup UNIX and Linux Data Mover is installed on the node where you plan to install the option.
