Configure the Agent

Use the <aof> Configuration dialog to configure global settings on the selected computer.

To access the <aof> Configuration dialog

1. Click Configure from the console.

   Note: The Configure button will be enabled only if you configure the server to back up open files using <aof>.

   The <aof> Configuration dialog appears.

   For more information about the Backup <aof> Console, see the section The Console.

2. Configure the global settings on the selected computer.

Alternatively, you can use the following procedure to access the <aof> Configuration dialog from the Arcserve Backup Manager.

Note: This procedure will be enabled only if you have installed the <aof> Console on the same computer as the Arcserve Backup Manager.

1. On the Source tab, select a computer from the browser in the left pane.
2. From the Additional Information pane, click Configure Open File Agent.

   The <aof> Configuration dialog opens.
