Register Arcserve Backup

After you install Arcserve Backup, you must register the product from the Manager Console. This registration allows Arcserve to automatically collect logs and usage statics of the Console.

Important! Arcserve does not collect any personal or business critical information such as node name, IP address, login credentials, domain name, and network names.

If you have not registered the Console, the following notification in the Messages tab of the Manager Console appears: "Your copy of Arcserve Backup has not been registered. Register."

Follow these steps:

  1. From the Manager Console, click Help, Product Improvement Program.

    The Arcserve Backup Product Improvement Program Registration dialog opens.

  2. Check in the Participate in Arcserve Product Improvement Program.
  3. Specify the following details:
  4. Click Send Verification Email.

    The verification email is sent to the email address that you provided in the Arcserve Backup Product Improvement Program Registration dialog.

  5. Log in to the email account and open the verification email.
  6. Click the verification link provided in the email.

    You have successfully registered with Arcserve Backup.

If you want to update the email address, update the email and click Product Improvement Program again and follow the process described in this topic.

To cancel your participation from the Arcserve Backup Product Improvement Program, click Cancel Participation.
