Ensure Database Consistency
If you have a large database, we recommend that you run a database consistency check when your database activity is low.
Follow these steps:
- Verify that Arcserve Backup, Sybase Adaptive Server, and the agent are installed on the appropriate systems.
- Start the Sybase Adaptive Server in single-user mode. To do so, append -m to the end of the command line in the following file:
Sybase_main_dir\ASExxx\install\run_servername.bat
- Run the file. Keep the batch file command window open.
- Start the Sybase Adaptive Server by running the following file:
Sybase_main_dir\ASExxx\install\run_servername.bat
- Restore the master database.
- After the master database is restored, shut down the server and restart it in normal (multi-user) mode.
- Restore the remaining databases.
