How the Option Accesses Multiple Drives

For libraries with multiple storage drives, the option takes maximum advantage of all available drives. When you submit a job or select a device management option, Arcserve Backup checks for available drives in the library. If Arcserve Backup detects an available drive, the job or device management operation is performed.

You can submit additional jobs to the same group or to a different group. If a job is performed for a group, Arcserve Backup begins additional backup or restore jobs for the group, as long as additional drives are available.
