CA ARCserve Central Virtual Standby cannot communicate with the nodes.

Solution:

To ensure that CA ARCserve Central Virtual Standby can deploy policies to nodes and protect nodes, verify that the Virtual Standby server and the nodes that you want to protect can communicate with each other using their host names.

Follow these steps:

  1. From the CA ARCserve Central Virtual Standby server, ping the nodes that you want to protect using the host names of the nodes.
  2. From the nodes that you want to protect, ping the CA ARCserve Central Virtual Standby server using the host name of the server.
