How do I Perform Offline Activation when Arcserve Backup and Arcserve UDP are on the Same Machine
Follow these steps:
- Perform the offline activation for Arcserve UDP first.
- To refresh the activated license, click Refresh in the License Management tab of the Arcserve UDP Console.
- Note: When you try to refresh the license from Arcserve Backup Manager, the following error occurs for Arcserve Backup 17.5, 17.5 SP1, and 18.0:
- Could not complete the refresh license (rc=[5311])
- For Arcserve Backup 19.0, the following error occurs:
- Failed to process your request. Try again after some time. If the problem persists, contact Arcserve support.
- In Arcserve Backup Manager, navigate to CA_LIC folder and verify if ca.olf file is available in the following path:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Arcserve\SharedComponents\CA_LIC
- Copy the EntitlementRegister_Windows.properties file available in the following path:
- C:\Program Files\Arcserve\Unified Data Protection\Management\Configuration
- Replace the copied EntitlementRegister_Windows.properties file in the following path:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\ARCserve Backup
- Open the Arcserve Backup Manager.
