New Web Application Creation

After a SharePoint HA scenario failover, do not create any web applications on the Replica before you run a backwards scenario. Creating new web applications makes the configuration between Master and Replica different, which prevents you from running a backwards scenario.

If you want to create a new web application after a SharePoint HA scenario failover, you must set the load balancing URL for the new application as http://WFEMaster:Port after running the backwards scenario, instead of the default value, http://WFERplica:Port.

Back up Farm Data After Failover

After failover, do not process a whole farm backup on the Replica (Active server).

Reconfigure Scenarios Created in Previous Versions

Due to the auto-configuration, SharePoint HA scenarios created with previous versions of Arcserve RHA must be reconfigured. Launch the SharePoint configuration wizard from the Windows Start menu on the Replica to disconnect it from the Master's farm. Repeat the auto-configuration process.
