How to Migrate the Console to a New Machine
You can migrate the Console from the old server to a new server without losing any data.
Follow these steps:
- Log in to the server where you have installed the previous Console.
- Using Microsoft SQL Server Management studio, back up the arcserveUDP database as the arcserveUDP.bak file.
- Copy the arcserveUDP.bak file to the new server.
- Install Arcserve UDP on the new server.
- After the installation is complete, and stop ARCserve UDP Management Service.
- From the new server, delete the arcserveUDP database in Microsoft SQL Server Management studio.
- On the new server, restore the arcserveUDP.bak file as the arcserveUDP database in Microsoft SQL Server Management studio.
- Start ARCserve UDP Management Service on the new server.
- Log in to the Console and update all nodes and RPS.
You have successfully migrated the Console to a new server.
