CAMTYPE Command—Determine the Machine ID (UNIX and Linux)

Use the CAMTYPE utility to determine the ID of a machine from a command line. The machine ID includes the media access control (MAC) address or volume serial number.

Valid on UNIX and Linux

This command has the following format:

CAMTYPE
Example: Identify the Machine ID on UNIX and Linux

This example identifies the machine ID and outputs the information in a dialog.
