Installation Prerequisites Exclusive for StorageTek ACSLS

Before installing StorageTek ACSLS, ensure the following:

• You have installed and configured the StorageTek Library Attach software Version 1.4.2 for 32-bit on the Arcserve Backup server.

  Note: Arcserve Backup works only with 32-bit StorageTek LibAttach software.

• You have established communication between the StorageTek ACSLS server and the Arcserve Backup server.

  Important! Do this before installing the Enterprise Option for StorageTek ACSLS.

• You have established communication between the StorageTek ACSLS server and the StorageTek Library Attach software.
• You have configured the StorageTek ACSLS tape library and StorageTek ACSLS server.
• You have selected your library configuration method and gathered the required information to configure your library using the selected method.
